What do I get paid for?

Does it cost me anything to become an Affiliate?

Absolutely not! It is completely free to join New York Poker.com's affiliate program. You will never be asked to pay anything for the lifetime of your affiliate account.

How does the Affiliate Program work?

New York Poker.com's affiliate program rewards you for referring players to our website. This means that for each player you refer to New York Poker.com, that makes a deposit and plays for real money (these are referred to as Real Money Players), New York Poker will award you a commission based on a percentage of the profits accrued by your referrals. You can promote your affiliate account by placing links and/or banners on your website. When a new player clicks on these links and is redirected to New York Poker.com, a code is tracked that links them to your account. Should they sign up, deposit funds (minimum deposit required $50 USD) and play for real money, you're affiliate account will be credited monthly with the commission accrued by your referral. Your affiliate account must remain active to receive commissions (please see "Does my affiliate account ever expire").

Commissions are paid out as follows:

"Poker net revenue" means the percentage paid to affiliate of the actual net revenue received from a Real Money Player.

As a New York Poker.com affiliate, you have two payout options to choose from. You may choose to be paid out via cheque (cheques are delivered to the name and address you provide during sign up), or Neteller (you must have an active Neteller account). How do I get started?

Getting started couldn't be easier! Once you've joined New York Poker.com's affiliate program, log in and simply click on the "Enter/Maintain Site" section on the left hand side of the page. How do I know how much commission I have earned?

Once you've logged into your affiliate account, simply click on "Reports" in the top right-hand corner of the page. Athough you have a number of specific reports to choose from, you may click on "Quick Summary Report " for an overview of referrals, referral performance, traffic, traffic performance and your affiliate commissions accrued.

How do I keep track of commissions?

How do I change my payment method?

Once you've logged into your affiliate account, simply click on "My Account" at the top left of your screen. Under your account details is an option to update your payment method. Simply choose New York Poker as your merchant and click "update." In the "Your Preferred Payment Method" section, simply choose your preferred payment method (cheque or Neteller) and fill in the required information. If I forget my password, how do I retrieve it?

Don't fret! Retrieving your password is easy. Simply click on "Forgotten Password" in the login page of the affiliate area. You will then be prompted to enter your affiliate username. Your password will be sent to your listed email address.

How often are reports updated?

New York Poker.com's affiliate reports are updated every 24 hours.

How often do I get paid?

Affiliates are paid out monthly on the xx of every month. Monthly commissions accrued must be in excess of $100USD (monthly payout minimum). Accruals that are less than the monthly payout minimum are carried over to the next month and so forth until they are in excess of the minimum and paid out.

When and how do I receive my money?

Affiliates are paid out on the 1st of every month as long as they meet the minimum monthly payout minimum (see question above). You may choose from two different payout methods, cheque (delivered to the registered name and address) or Neteller (you must have an active Neteller account to select this option). What is a tracking code?

An affiliate tracking code is a unique code that's copied and pasted into a link on your website. When a potential player clicks on your link and is redirected to New York Poker.com, this code ensures that the player's performance is tracked to your affiliate account and that you receive all commissions earned by your referral.

Can I use more than one tracking code?

Of course! You may use as many tracking codes as necessary but you must register more than one site to do so. Once logged into your affiliate account, click on "Enter/Maintain Site" in the left hand side of your screen. Enter the site details and click on "Submit". You may do this as many times for as many tracker codes you require (one tracker code per site). You may do this as many times for as many sites as you require. Once finished, click on "Banner Manager" and individually choose the sites you 'd like to retrieve tracker codes for. How do I update my personal account information?

First log into your affiliate account and click on "My Account" in the top left hand side of the screen. Feel free to make any changes to your personal details. Once finished, click "Submit" to confirm the changes. Please note: you cannot change your username at this time.

Does my affiliate account ever expire?

Affiliate accounts are reviewed on a case by case basis every six months. Should your account not meet performance standards you will be notified via email and given a grace period to raise performance levels. Should, at the end of this grace period, there be no improvement your affiliate revenue percentage may be lowered or account terminated.

Can I receive commission for signing up as a player?

No. Neither you nor relatives may sign up under your affiliate account and should you do so, you will not be eligible to receive commissions accrued by these referrals. The term relative refers to a spouse, parents, children, and/or siblings.

Can I sign up sub affiliates?

Yes you may and for each real-money, depositing, player they refer, you'll earn a 3% commission for the lifetime of the referral's play as long as both your affiliate account and your sub-affiliate's account remain active (please see Does my affiliate account ever expire?)

How do I sign up sub affiliates?

There are two simple ways to sign up sub-affiliates.

To sign up online sub affiliates, log into you affiliate account and simply choose the "Sub-Affiliate" promotion in the "Banner Manager" section. These banners are geared towards attracting new potential affiliates. Instead of linking to the New York Poker sign up page, they link to the New York Poker AFFILIATE sign up page. When a potential affiliate clicks on this banner and is redirected to the affiliate sign up page, your tracker code links his/her performance to you. Entitling you to 3% of commissions of profit accrued by his/her real-money, depositing referrals.
Signing up offline sub affiliates is just as easy. Simply have them either enter your affiliate ID code or affiliate email address in the "Referred By" field of the affiliate sign up page thus ensuring their performance is tracked to you. Should they NOT enter your affiliate ID code or email address in the "Referred By" field, they will not be linked to your account nor can this be changed at a later date.

Can I monitor my sub affiliates performance?

Yes. Monitoring sub-affiliate performance is simple. Simply log into your affiliate account and click on "Reports" in the top right hand corner of the page. Click on "Referral Report" to view a list of affiliates referred, their stats and commissions accrued by you.

Do I receive a commission for any sub affiliates they sign up?

No you do not receive commission for any sub affiliates that your sub-affiliate has referred.

Do I receive a commission for each player they refer?

Yes. You receive a 3% commission of the profit accrued for the lifetime of play for each real-money, depositing player that your sub-affiliate has referred. Both your and your sub-affiliate's account must remain active to receive commissions.

What is a Promo Code and how do I get one?

A bonus code is an easy-to-remember code that is used when marketing to players offline. Your referral enters this code upon sign up and his/her performance is then tracked to your affiliate account. This is expecially useful when marketing offline and referrals cannot click through a banner posted online. To choose an offline promo code, please contact affiliates@newyorkpoker.com.

How does New York Poker know who I've referred?

Referrals are tracked via tracker codes or bonus codes. These codes are tied to your affiliate account. Should your referrals sign up and make a deposit, you are entitled to a percentage of the revenue accrued by each real-money player for the lifetime of their play on New York Poker.com. Affiliate accounts must remain active to receive commissions (please see "Does my affiliate accout ever expire").

How do I promote offline as opposed to online?

New York Poker.com offers a variety of tools for offline promotions as well as online. Feel free to download our affiliate cards to be easily printed at home and handed out as well as our affiliate how-to guide for suggestions.

What kind of links can I create?

You can either utilize one of our html banners found in the "Banner Manager" area of your affiliate account manager or you can create simple text links. Remember you must use the tracker code generated by our affiliate software. This code cannot be altered in any way.

What are banners?

Banners are square or rectangular advertisements that are posted on websites online. They can be animated or static and are generally used to grab attention and provoke interest in web surfers. Each banner can have a tracking code attached that monitors the banner's performance (how much interest it provokes, how many users clicked on the banner, peak times, ect.) Another code is placed that tracks the banner to whichever site it's on. That way any potential players that click on the banner from your site are linked to your account. Should these players sign up and become real-money, depositing players, you are entitled to a commission of the revenue accrued for the lifetime of their play. Your affiliate account must remain active to receive commissions.

What kind of banners do you offer?

What are affiliate cards?

Affiliate cards are used to market your affiliate status offline. We provide you with easily downloaded and printable cards to be handed out to potential players. Your affiliate bonus code must be written on them. When a player enters this bonus code upon sign up their performance is tracked to your affiliate account. Should they become real-money, depositing players, you will be entitled to a commission based on revenue accrued for the lifetime of their play on New York Poker.com. Your affiliate account must remain active to receive commissions. The bonus code MUST be entered upon sign-up, if not entered or forgotten they will not be linked to your affiliate account at a later time or date.

How can I print these cards myself?

Affiliate cards are provided for download in Microsoft Word format using standard Avery card sizes. Simply download the file and print using the same size Avery card. Once printed, enter your bonus code in the area provided and you're ready to hand them out!

Can I alter these tools in any way?

Banners/tracking codes CANNOT be altered in any way. Anyone who alters a tracking code is in breech of the affiliate agreement and will not be entitled to future commissions. Offline affiliate tools and email/newsletter templates may be altered slightly but not so in a way that breeches the affiliate aggreement. Any affiliate found doing so will not be entitled to future commissions and may be asked to terminate any promotions or affiliation with New York Poker.com. Please ensure that you have read and agreed to the affiliate agreement in full before doing so.

What is a Real New Money Player?

A Real New Money Player is an Internet user who accesses New York Poker.com's website directly through a Link attached to your affiliate ID, a Link including your tracker ID, or enters your tracker as a sign up promo code on the New Player Sign Up form. This internet user must make at least one (1) deposit in excess of $50USD. The number of Real New Players per individual household computer is strictly limited to one.

What is the minimum deposit one has to make in order to be considered a Real New Money Player?

The minimum deposit a new player must make in order to be considered a Real New Money Player is $50USD. Any deposit made in excess of $50USD by a new player entitles them to Real New Money Player status.

I know I referred a Real New Money Player through my link, but I do not see them in my reports, what do I do?

It is unlikely that a referral that signed up to New York Poker.com through an affiliate link or banner would not linked to the affiliate account but should you feel that such a situation has arisen, please allow 24 hrs for your reports to update with the current information. Also, please remember that to be classified as a Real New Money Player, your referral must deposit a minimum of $50 USD. Should you still not see the referral after 48 hours and have confirmed that a deposit of over $50 USD has been made, please contact affiliates@newyorkpoker.com with your concerns and we will be more than happy to respond immediately.

My account says I have fewer referrals than I think I should have. How can I check?

Should your account show you have fewer referrals than you believe you should have, please allow 24 hours for your reports to be updated with the most current information. Also please remember that you are only eligible for commissions on the revenue accrued by real-money, depositing players (minimum deposit $50 USD). You can check the statistic of your account in the "Quick Summary Report" or your "Account Report" once logged into your affiliate account.
